Occupation:
Certified Financial Planner with Allstate

Type of training before CrossFit:
I  started doing triathlons about 3 years ago when I was turning 40. So I was very active during summers with races and doing a lot of cycle, swim and run training. But I never liked going to the gym. So every winter I would put on 20-30 lbs. I joined Crossfit for the cross training and to give me something to do in the winter.

Favorite Workouts?
I enjoy the cardio intensive part of the workout. My favorite workouts include rope climbing, pull ups, push ups, rowing, running and box jumps.

Any hobbies you have outside of the gym?
Besides cycling, swimming and running, I enjoy skiing and snowboarding, hiking, scuba diving, mountain biking, travel and reading.

Something about you that not too many people at WCSC know?
I don’t know what that would be. But feel free to ask.

Any words of advice for newer members at WCSC?
Pay attention to your form so that you don’t get injured. I’ve had a nagging shoulder injury as a result of being careless with form.

Any other comments?
The emphasis on nutrition and the coaching that crossfit provides is invaluable. I don’t usually watch my diet, but when I do the results are significant.
