What brought you to WCSC in the first place?
I was getting bored with doing majority running exercises and needed to do something that would be motivating, fun, and challenging. WCSC is definitely all of the above!
What was your first impression? How has that changed?
I was sore for five days after the first time I tried it out. I instantly felt at home but definitely was terrified of the workouts. I used to dread the scary WODs and now I crave them!
What was your first “aha” moment?
I was at work and one of the staff members approached me and said “You look fitter and fitter every time I see you.” That was one of the best compliments I’ve ever received and it reminded me that hard work does pay off and there’s never really a ceiling with fitness.
What are you working on now?
I have always had a tendency to put the kettlebell or wall ball down during a larger set of reps when I know deep down I can push through. I want to start really focusing on pushing through during those moments when I think I need to rest. I’m also obsessed with mastering double unders so that’s a focus right now too!
What’s your favorite WCSC memory?
It really is hard to pick just one. Since I love working out and drinking beer I’m going to have to say the beer mile. It was extremely entertaining and hilarious (and challenging!)
